Met Is to Raise Its Admission Fee to $20

The thing is, the Metropolitan Museum of Art is raising it's recommended admission fee from $15 to $20. But it's exactly that: recommended. They do ask that you do pay the full recommended amount, but you don't have to.

I think it's all kinds of fun that raising the recommended fee is "outrageous and wrong". But most of all, I really like the idea of a non-mandatory admission fee. Especially at a museum. "Here's what we'd like you to pay, but if that's too much for you, that's okay. Come on in." Me like.
