Three language-related quickies:

1. Office Natural Language Blog: Updates in Office 2007 speller: office will now recognize "emu" as a word. Finally!

2. New York Times: The Ling - Absolutely ador (or possibly not). Kids these days seem to have a limited supply of syllables. Uh, I mean a lim sup of syll. I feel old.

3. The best writers at the New York Times: how to describe a film in 20 words or less. That's actually a good exercise for a lot of things other than films.
