Recursive list overload

Seth Godin is usually a sharp guy (do subscribe to his blog if you haven't already), but this time he dropped the ball entirely:

As if the abundance of way-too-long lists of whatever wasn't enough, Seth has compiled a list of 96(!) lists from Mashable, many of which are 50+, 80+ or even 120+ items long. Insane! In the bad sense!

Why, oh why? Merlin, save me!
